Hi, I’m Tabitha.
Two of my favourite things in the world, apart from my Maltese rescue, are reading and editing. I love reading history, thrillers and mysteries.
Travelling and getting the chance to practice speaking the languages I have learned (Swedish, French, German and Spanish) gives me a real buzz. I was lucky enough to spend the year in Gothenburg, Sweden, as part of my Scandinavian Studies course at the University of East Anglia.
Early on in my two year career in editing, I began working with two imprints of Hachette on a variety of publications, including recipes, foraging, octopuses and many books about neurodiversity.
I am an intermediate member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP) and have trained in copyediting and proofreading with The Publishing Training Centre and developmental editing with Liminal Pages.
Since I was a child, I have always enjoyed writing my own stories and have completed NaNoWriMo (a challenge to write a 50,000 word novel in 30 days) three times. I am now in the process of editing one of these novels and so I understand how much goes into the writing process and how precious that novel is to the author.
