Having given so much of yourself to produce your book about autism, you want to ensure your readers are focused on your words, not errors on the page.
With my real-world experience of autism, I am able to work with you to make your manuscript as accurate and engaging as possible.
I have a wealth of experience, in proofreading books on the subject of neurodiversity, as I have worked for three years with Jessica Kingsley Publisher (an imprint of Hachette).
You’ve finished writing your book and you’re happy with the content, what next?
I’m able to offer two services for non-fiction authors:
Copy-editing
With this service I check facts, consistency, word choice, style, clarity and flow.
Proofreading
This service is perfect if your manuscript is almost ready for publication, but needs a final check for grammar, consistency and layout.
If you’re unsure which of these services you require, I will be happy to have a look at your manuscript to advise you.
What happens when you contact me?
I will send you a form so that I can learn more details about your book and your ambitions for it.
Next I would ask for a copy of your manuscript, from which I would edit a sample and provide a set quotation.
If you decide to go ahead, I would take a 10% deposit to book you a spot in my schedule.
